About The Compton Halloween Map
The Story
Hi, my name is Tia. I live in Compton and run a small horror-themed business. I started the Compton Halloween Map in 2023 after noticing that fewer families were trick-or-treating in our city and fewer houses were giving out candy. My family even had to take our kids outside of Compton just to celebrate Halloween.
That first year, 64 houses joined the map. In year two, participation nearly doubled, and more families came out to enjoy Halloween together. Now, in our third year, the map continues to grow and bring neighbors together in a safe and fun way.
The goal has always been simple: to help families celebrate Halloween here in Compton and build community spirit right on our own streets.
